Affiliates and Associates

OICR offers two status-only appointment streams:
OICR Affiliates and OICR Associates.

OICR Affiliates

OICR Affiliate appointments are status-only appointments granted to exceptional investigators located at external research institutions. OICR Affiliates share scientific focus with OICR and engage in research collaborations with OICR investigators to support OICR’s research priorities and strategic initiatives.

OICR Associates

OICR Associate appointments are status-only appointments granted to exceptional investigators located at external research institutions. Similar to OICR Affiliates, OICR Associates share scientific focus with OICR and engage in research collaborations to support OICR’s research programs and strategic initiatives. In addition, OICR Associates are expected to be highly engaged in and vital to the success of one or more OICR research projects. They are expected to be active members of the OICR community, attending meetings and providing project leadership and insight.

Nomination process

  • Nominations for OICR status-only appointments must come from a sponsoring OICR PI (typically the Director, or equivalent, of the OICR Program, Network or Resource that the appointment will support);
  • Candidate must provide an updated CV;
  • Sponsoring PI must request a Status-Only Appointment application from the Scientific Secretariat;
  • Applications will be evaluated by OICR’s Executive.
