He has served as President and CEO of Epitope Capital Corp. a privately held consulting company, as well as CEO of BioDiesel Reactor Technologies Inc., since 2007. Prior to these executive positions, Mr. Lawless was the Founding President and CEO of the Ottawa Life Sciences Council (OLSC) from its inception in 1994 until 2006. Mr. Lawless was also a Founding Director of the Ottawa Biotechnology Incubation Centre, has served as Interim President of the Ottawa Life Sciences Technology Park, and was Bioscience Development Officer for the City of Ottawa. During his career, he has served on numerous private and not-for-profit boards, expert panels, task forces and selection panels. He graduated from the University of Ottawa with an Master of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 1986, and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry in 1983.
