As Ontario’s cancer research institute, OICR works to improve the lives of those living with cancer in the province and beyond. To tackle the biggest challenges in cancer research, we work together with researchers, institutes, clinicians, industry and patient partners across Canada and around the world. We wish to acknowledge the land on which OICR operates. OICR’s work takes place on traditional Indigenous territories across the province we now call Ontario, and we are thankful to the Indigenous peoples who have cared for these territories since time immemorial. We acknowledge that Toronto, where the OICR office is located, has for thousands of years been the traditional land of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples. Today, we respect and honour the presence of the many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis people who make it their home
