Dr. John Stagg is the Director of the Rosalind and Morris Goodman Cancer Institute at McGill University and Professor of Immunology. Dr. Stagg is also member of the Board of Directors of BioCanRx, Canada’s Immunotherapy Network, and member of its Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Committee. A leader in the field of immuno-oncology, Dr. Stagg made seminal discoveries such as the identification of adenosine-producing CD73 as a cancer target, which sparked the development of over 30 therapeutics agents targeting the adenosine axis now in clinical trials. Dr. Stagg was also a driving force in the creation of the Terry Fox Research Institute Marathon of Hope Cancer Centres Network, a unique collaborative platform to improve cancer precision medicine in Canada. Dr. Stagg is advisor to translational advisory committees of clinical trials and advisor to industry and non-profit stakeholders in cancer research.
